Its very simple to explain why "us conservatives" use cash donations as a measure of one's compassion. Liberals are the ones who always bitch and complain and giving more money and how the government should give more money to the poor, the downtrodden, the blah blah blah. Although, when it comes to actually ponying up money to get to all these "deserving" groups, liberals would rather give someone else's money then open up their own wallets.
