I'm almost certain it was an SNES game and I think it had a 2/3rds top-down view or whatever like Equinox but I'm pretty sure it's not Equinox. The only thing I remember is a character on the roof of a castle drinking a potion and saying it tastes bitter. That's all I remember but this has been driving me insane for years.
