VILNIUS (Reuters) - Vice President Dick Cheney launched one of Washington's sharpest attacks on President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, accusing Russia of backsliding on democracy and using its energy supplies to blackmail neighbors.

More of Washington's sharpest attacks:

1. Cold Wars

2. Carpet Bombings

3. Complete leader replacement surgery

4. Using trade leverage to keep most of the world in a persisent state of economic slavery

5. Atomic Weapons

...

...and haven't we all been criticizing Putin for backsliding for like 4 years now?

How does this fit into your Grand Conspiracy Theory of Everything, Geg?

How can someone who obviously thinks so much of their ideas have so little respect for expressing them? How can someone who so yearns to be taken seriously make so little effort?!

Aww jeez. Like I didn't see this coming!

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A speech by Vice President Dick Cheney strongly critical of the Kremlin marks the start of a new Cold War that could drive Moscow away from its new-found Western allies, the Russian press said on Friday.

The problem here is not that Cheney is gettin' tough on Putin's rights record. Somebody sure as hell ought to be. Ever since W saw Putin's soul the administration's been giving Russia a pass on... well, everything.

The problem is NO ONE in this administration, especially Cheney, has any credability at all when they are critical of other countries records right now. Not because they aren't guilty, not beause we still don't do way better than them on rights, but because of the direction we are moving, a direction Cheney unabashadley favors.

There's a great Daily Show type joke in here somewhere about the US being willing to meet Russia in the Middle on Human Rights, but I'll let their writers do what tey get paid for.
