Alfred Ashford from RE:CV is a mighty titan of elegant hand gestures and excessive hip movement, easily crushing the competition. Besides making up for his lost sister by dressing up as her (and doing a perfect imitation of her voice I might add) he breaks the boundaries of what video game girlie men are. If it wasn't for his insanity which drives him to work it like he does by taunting his enemies just before he shot them from 40ft away, he would constantly be flailing his arms, running in terror from anything that moved, screaming like a banshee. Now if you can take your eyes off his sexily over-snug velvet suit, you would notice that his face even looks like a girl; and it isn't just his too-short lesbo haircut that does it either: this man loves to groom. And even you all can agree if you saw him, that he can pretty himself up unsuprisingly well.
It is still fun to sneak into his playroom and have fun with his toys.

Well, I forget the names of the characters, but in Legaia 2, there's this boss combo that are brother and sister, the brother being a tall skinny, effeminate type who starts crying if you kill his sister first.

My vote is for Sydney from Vagrent Story(sp). He had long blond hair, Skinny as a mofo and wore a dress. For the longest time i thought it was a girl and you could see her boobs. And i could never distinguish if it was a boy or a girl because his name was Syndney.

And Flea from Chrono Trigger. The game dances around the subject and you never really find out if s/he's a guy or a girl. :/

And another thing, what the fuck is with the japanese and characters with ambigous genders/sexual preferences? Almost every video game/anime. Hell, even the Story Of Ricky had one.

the japanese men are always slightly effeminate is because in japan a man who has some female qualitys, thin waist, long hair and in some extreame cases makeup, are considered very attractive.

So someone like Raiden would be considered very attractive.

This began back in the seventies or something. Chinese men didn't want to take their wommens to the movies if the male leads looked too butch, so the studios pulled in the androgynous guys to make money. Or something. That Logan guy talks about it on the Chinese Ghost Story DVD.

that actually makes a lot of sense come to think of it. think about it. a lot of people want to be the guy in the movie, but not so many people wanna be the crazy japanese guy with the makeup on and the pink frilly dress and before he enters the ring he throws flowers on the ground.
