You cannot under emphasize the value of a full college scholarship. Not only are they getting access to a very expensive and possibly life changing education, but they are able to showcase their talents for the chance to make mega big bucks in the NFL.

I don't have a problem paying the kids. Take the scholarships aways and give them 20 grand a year. Watch as these young kids piss that money away and are unable to afford an education. Playing college football is a priviledge, not a right. Admissions standards are already lowered in comparison to the average student. College athletes sacrifice a lot but they are rewarded with a debt free education that the average student would fight and claw their way for a chance at receiving even half that amount.
