It's coming out in March last I heard. I put down my money to get it today, and I can't wait to get ahold of this game. I've been playing since Redguard and just recently got a rom for Arena. I'm asking for some opinions about what you are looking forward to; or if you hate the game, what they should do to fix it.

I was reading some about this i hear they changed everything about Marrowind. Some of the things that i liked were...

-Horses for travel
-huge open plains. I like this better because i didnt like the huge mushrooms and unrealistic areas.
-A button for blocking. I always hated that blocking was based off of skill.
-NPC's are more realistic. They move around town. they have to shop, sleep, talk to friends and bascially live. Also, interaction with the characters is much more different.

its gonna rock and the screen shots blow my mind. To bad i have to wait till hell freezes over to buy a xbox 360.

Maybe my computer will run it

Well the horses for travel doesn't make a real HUGE differance as the instant teleport to everyplace you have already been to with their quick travel option. Plus the nature and trees and shit is all placed and arranged by the game to look random but natural; meaning they didn't waste money having an artist place every single bush and patch of grass in the entire gigantic world.

I dunno, i personally like the addition of horses. the world is gonna look so beautiful that i think i would rather ride around on a horse then instantly teleport past it.

I would like to be looking forward to this game, I really would. But im going to bet the engine is far less robust than they make out. Much like the engine used by Deus Ex 2 and Thief 3 - while they look ok from a distance, apon closer inspection everything is a bit... crap.

I also heard rumors that major lighting changes had to be made as performace was suffering too much. These are just rumors though.

If you liked the morrowind engine, this is suppposed to be based off that. Using the logic that "of it looks amazing it must be crap" is retarded, this is betheseda we are talking about.

Use your head dipshit, all you have to do is watch one of the videos. Preformance will be smooth on the 360, but not on computers for a couple years.

Bethesda hasn't released them yet. They keep changing shit so if they release any requirements they'll be changed by the time the game actually comes out.

So shoot for pretty high-end stuff, I guess.

I have seen all of the videos and although they do look nice, something seems a bit off. Im not sure how to explain it but after you have watched a few thousand tech preview videos you get pretty good at reading betwen the lines. I could be wrong but im willing to bet they are hyping this product up alot at the moment and not all of their features are as great as they make out.

As for this running ok on 360s but not current PCs thats BS. A Radeon 1900XTX has 48pixel pipelines* (same as 360) and most probably a higher clock. Not to mention bieng able to pair it with a Crossfire mastercard and motherboard. The 360's gay PowerPC CPU would most likely be beaten by high end AMD FX or X2.

*Not that this matters much as ATI prefer to use a large number of shader units and less pipelines as part of their unified shader architecture IIRC

Anyway im sure it'll be an ok game but im waiting to try it before I decide whether its worth buying.

Something's a bit off that you can't explain? That almost always means that a person wants to find something wrong with the game, but can't. And when I say it will run better on the 360, I mean compared to moderately priced PC's that are coming out right now (under 1000$). If you spend the money for high end of course it would be better. And its only PC and Playstation fanboys who think that the 360 will be a tragic failure. You haven't got the slightest idea, since all you are saying is speculation.

You are full of shit and have no idea why this game would be bad.

They really can't do any worse than Brotherhood of Steel, so I remain optimistic.

I love this company and they're situated about an hour from where I live. :<

Me too. Except more like 30 minutes for me.

And this game is going to rock the shit out of my horrible pc.

I thought Morrowind was great (even though it was on the Xbox), and all of the problems I had with it are supposed to be solved with Oblivion.

Plus this time I'll be able to get mods(provided they're not too large....dial up sucks a whole bunch).

If you buy the PC version they're including the construction kit, and have revamped the magic system so you can create all kinds of your own spells. Bethesda is so friendly towards the modders.

I hope they fixed the item enchantment process. My friend and I cheated and boosted our character's intelligence into the triple digits, and we were still failing almost all the time trying to enchant some objects.

You weren't supposed to actually enchant things yourself, the enchant skill was to recharge the magic in items. That's why enchanters existed.

All the more reason to fix it.

Also, it would be nice if they included merchants that could afford to buy high-end stuff from you. The modders eventually corrected this oversight with Morrowind, but it would be nice if it were like that out of the box.
