Yeah, I heard the new album sucks, so I haven't bought it yet. That's pretty sad, since I adore Phair, and have all her other albums. Nothing will ever touch Exile in Guyville though, so we should all just keep listening to that and realize it was a moment of prefection and, well, luck, on her behalf.

I heard some of the lyrics are about her playing x-box and fucking some slacker. She officially sucks.

How is that really vastly different from any of her old lyrics? She was always singing about fucking. And so what, she makes an X-box reference. Why not wait to hear it and give it a chance?

I will! I'm just not expecting much. The x-box shit just sounds like she is trying way to hard to get a younger audience. She's best when she is uber-dirty ala Flower.

I've tried listening to this album a couple times, hoping I would discover something in it worthwhile, but I just can't. There are maybe two songs that are listenable on there, and even those are mediocre compared to her early stuff.

I feel betrayed.

I'm so happy I didn't buy it. She should go back to the 'cool school' thing.

WORST ALBUM EVER!

I downloaded it, and I'm so embrassed for her; it's brutal. The single sounds like Avril Lavinge! Wtf? Why is she such a fucking moron? How did this fucktard ever make a classic album? Exile in Guyville is one of my top 10 albums, but this album has almost turned me off her forever.

I walked by the tent she was playing in at Bonnaroo and I wasn't very impressed with what I saw. It made me sick just to think they would let someone that shitty be there.

EDIT: Jim Farber is a god damn idiot.
