Anybody here still play this game? Boogie and I played it almost all night the other night and it's still a shit-ton o' fun. Just one of those games that really stands the test of time.

I remember getting a chance to play it on a Playstation demodisc. Came with that, and I think Croc and that scuba/submarine treasure game. Very awesome.

The way you could cut down the bamboo and the injuries always struck me as cool for som reason. Plus both games had characters with guns, which added to the challenge.

I played this at my friend's house, but never long enough for me to be anything but crap at it. The way I remember, we just ignored all of the stuff that makes it cool and tried our damnedest to break the bushido code in as many ways possible.

Well Rog certainly got that part down with his patented U-turn Heel Stomp attack.

Hahaha, you know you love it. There is no finer way to dishonor your opponent than to knock him down by running up behind him and then slicing him to pieces as soon as he gets up.

Also, I thought only the 2nd one had a character with a gun in it? I don't remember the 2nd one being as fun as the first, but it's been a long time so I could be wrong.

Your memory fails you. Come make a trip here and I will slash you in two with Hanzo (again)... then I'll kill you with my Nodachi in Bushido Blade. :o

Bah, broadsword for the win. It even triumphs when you use the overly strong guy, Muscles-maru, or something like that.

Broadsword my arse. It's way too slow, and makes you all the easier to kill once you swing it once and miss with "Muscles-maru" as you call him.

You'll see. The next time we battle, you'll have completely forgotten about how crappy the naginata is, and that will be your downfall.

The Nodachi is forever etched in my cranium and I would never betray it to use the shitty Naginata... not like you did.

Bah, you were all about the katana and the sabre last time. A poor man's nodachi, if you ask me.

The sabre is awesome. Nice 'n speedy, but not too small like another weapon you decided to try out.

Don't remind me. Apparently, Squaresoft and I differ greatly in our concepts of a long sword.

(i mean that in context with the video game, not the sexual act... though i'm sure you enjoyed that as well)
