The time has come for me to request some expert i-mockery advice

Basically the chatacters in this are me (me), jen (girlfriend) and lee (friend).
Me and jen are getting on fine but she keeps telling me that lee always makes snide comments about her like "Me and stefan used to be best friends, now he's always with you", although I dont think he means any offence it upsets her that he keeps making her out to be the annoying girlfriend who is trying to steal me away.
Things dont seem to be getting any better between them and im worried that soon they will really start to dislike eachother and i'll be stuck in the middle while they both bitch about eachother to me.

I tried to talk to jen and asked her if mabey she could just try and get on with lee a bit better and not 'rock the boat' so to speak, and she basically said if he is going to be a cunt then she is not doing him any favours.

The problem is I do like both of them and definatly want to stay friends with lee, but I dont know if its at the cost of splitting up with jen which I also definatly dont want to do.

In some ways im annoyed that lee cant just be happy for me but I understand what its like when a good friend just dissapears for weeks on end because he's always with his girlfriend.

I dont know if I should just stay out of the whole thing and hope it blows over or talk to lee and tell him that this is just the way things are at the moment and he'll have to get used to it. Or atleast try and explain that is hard for me to hang out with him as often as we used to as I barely see jen enough as it is, what with uni.

hmpf, I wish everyone could just get along

How are you not able to see him for weeks at a time? That sucks :/

Try to hang out with both of them at the same time?

Well im at university so I can only come back for perhaps 1 day a week and thats usually spent with jen.
And we do hang out together alot (in the pub) but im worried that they'll start a full on argument and i'll be the one in the middle. I cant take sides because I like them both but if I dont im worried jen or lee will be offended.

Freak out and tell them their feud is tearing you apart (shirt ripping off is a plus, as well). Then go into a drunken song number of "Why can't we be friends." The tension will be gone between them, but only because neither of them will hang out with you again

How about talking to your friend online? Friendships can be carried on without physical contact, but lovey type stuff really needs touch and sight.

Jokingly suggest they sleep together, but you must remember to get mad if they really do.

Just a thought but this sort of situation can occur for several reasons.
The main reason you have not thought of is that Lee has feelings for Jen and is really jealous that you are with her.

I think thats your main problem though. He feels rejected and left out. Maybe try and do something social together, with a few other people too that doesn't just involve the pub. He might be feeling lonely and frustrated that he doesn't have a girlfriend.

I think this situation happens quite often with lads. One of my former boyfriends just did not get the balance right and it ended up with his friends being around the whole time and not having any time together. When I tried to argue that I wanted some "quality" time with him e.g. one evening - things got pretty nasty and two of his friends started bitching about me. Ironicly when we split up one of those friends was actually sad about because he realised I wasn't such a bitch after all.

Men are fickle sometimes! Maybe you should spend half the day with Lee and half with your girlee if they can't handle being around each other.

Things seem to be getting better, and they are now friends again. Also I have gone round to lee's place a couple of times for some Halo deathmatching which was fun.

Im hoping the whole thing will just blow over now and things will be like they used to be.
