Old Jun 21st, 2003, 06:33 PM        Meeting the famous
I got the chance to meet maynard james keenan after a tool show that I went to. I asked him to sign his name on a dollar bill. He signed it and then someone handed him a 20 dollar bill to sign his name on it. MJK looked at me and said 'you're a cheap bastard.' Everyone laughed.

I met violent J after he washed the paint off his face. Despite the fact that I enjoy his music, I didn't like him very much. He asked me how to say 'clown love' in sign language. Instead, I taught him how to sign 'jesus loves you.'

I ran into Louie Anderson and had this i-wanna-kick-you-in-the-nuts-so-you-cannot-have-kids-to-follow-you-in-your-footsteps thoughts in my head during our meeting.

I met Penn and Teller(sp?) after one of their shows, Johnny Romita ( original creator of Spiderman ), Jerry Stiller ( one of my grampa's war buddies ), and I think that's it.

My friend met Jack Nicholson and almost shit his pants

My mom also met him, Woody Allen, and I think she might have met Paul McCarteny.

Oh yeah, my dad dated the daughter of the owner of the Big Boy restaurants.

But that doesn't count.

The drummer from Green Day hit on my sister when they went to high school together. I never got to meet him.

I also met Macho Man Randy Savage and Gorgeous George at X-Games one year. He was promoting Slim Jims as usual. I have his autograph somewhere.

Older. She told me that a few years ago and it was someone who'd been on for at least a few years at the time. I can't remember who it was right now though

I think his first name was matt (and of course it's not matt fucking groening).

Kevin Smith
David Prowse (Darth Vader!)
Marilyn Manson
MacCauley Culkin (most of the mockers who were in New York were there for those two, though few of us talked to them directly...our group just kind of bumped into them)
Amy Lee (singer from Evanescence...she signed Roger's boob)

That's all I can think of.

Here are the people who I've met:

Emo Phillips pretty much just talked to me cause I was sitting in the front row during his act, and I was a 16 year old girl dressed like a tramp, but he was really nice after the show and gave me air kissies.

I saw John Neville in a play, at Stratford (Ontario) and he winked at me.

I saw Harland Williams at a party at the Masonic Temple (where horrible Mike Bullard tapes his shows...he's the guy Tom Green made barf with the dead raccoon) but we didn't talk. He smiled at me though! Then I got drunk and peed on the balcony, TAKE THAT BULLARD!

I also met some of the Kids in The Hall:

Kevin McDonald is just fucking funny, I saw him crossing the street and I said "why, I know you!" and he yelled "I'm SORRY!" in that funny voice he does and ran off looking over his shoulder at me. I saw him again once, when I was trick or treating on the street he lives on, only he was dressed like an old lady and in full make-up.

Bruce McCulloch is by far the sweetest. I see him all the time, walking his dog, and he always says hi and is friendly. I met him at a comedy show (Corky and the Juice Pigs, back when they were indy and funny.....met them too!) and I asked for his autograph for me, and my friend who wasn't there. He was so nice about it and wrote 'Hello Sweet Daphne' and then said "Ok, I'm gonna draw a line then do hers down here, ok?" which I thought was just adorable . And he wrote 'Suzanne, where were you??'.

Mark McKinney I didn't really meet, but he was unlocking his bike outside a coffee shop, and I saw him through the window and waved frantically, and he did it back to me, for a good 60 seconds before he rode off.

I've met a bunch of Canadian celebs, like Ralph Benmurgui (who's a sleazy fucking pervert) and Colin Mocherie (sp?), who I passed on the street and said 'Hi' to. And I've met all the lame Much Music VJ's, because they work around the corner from me.

I think that's it...

I suck and haven't met anyone that I can remember. I have seen McGuyver's house though since he sometimes lives in the area and is from MN.

2 of my friends saw Chris Jericho at Fortune Bay (casino in my small hometown) and we do get various athletes who show up for the winter festivities in our area.
