Old Dec 12th, 2003, 10:13 PM        The Golden Ratio, by Mario Livio
I know I already started a topic about this book, but I'm too lazy to peruse the forums in search of it.

Well, apparently life as an astrophysicist was raking in too little cash, so Mario Livio decided he would sell overpriced books about the mathematical constant phi. That's pronounced "fee", not like "pie", you stupads. The funny thing is that this guy has no respect for 80% of the mysticism associated with the divine proportion. However, the book does do a wonderful job of holding attention by its account of the development of mathematical and scientific history. He does, however, pay too much respect to Johannes Kepler--a damned dirty Lutheran.

I like this book. The pages fly quickly while reading this.
