Fuck you guys, I've been here long enough to make a (deliberately)retarded post every now and then.

On a serious note, though, I was in Manhattan during the Fourth and some lady was carrying a sign that said "ONLY CATHOLICS GO TO HEAVEN". Being almost positively convinced that I was more educated in Catholicism than she was on the matter (myself being a weird sort of one), I was about to ask her if she was really a fundamentalist trying to use odd smear tactics. However, I couldn't remember the relevant Latin phrase I'd have to use in such a discussion, so I just walked off in confusion. Then when I boarded a subway I was like "EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SULLUS goddammit", which is the name of the fallacy that only Catholics are eligible for heaven (as called among Catholics themselves). And I was sad that I could have made a dumb bitch look like a really dumb bitch but missed the chance.

I just imagined you going up to some crazy old woman and yelling, "Extra ecclesiam nulla sullus, bitch!" and found it extremely hilarious.

isn't the image of some crazy shouting "EXTRA ECCLESIAM NULLA SULLUS goddammit" in a subway, with no apparent provocation whatsoever good enough? :P

Yeah, Latin's weird like that because v is both u and w in the classical form, so when those two letters evolved out of it in the middle ages the spelling standards went to hell and my dictionary can't help me much. I cringe every time I hear tourists tell their kids at monuments that they spell shit like "e plvribvs vnvm" because it's too difficult to carve u's in stone. It happens a lot!
