Maybe this is just a personally touchy subject for me, but I'm really fucking sick of hearing about this "scandal," "mystery," or "cover-up." The only reason this shooting is even thought twice about is because Oswald was such an insignificant putz and it's the only successful presidential assassination since the widespread proliferation of video and television. At this point, what does it matter who did it and why? So we can begin to distrust our government?
Kennedy made too much noise, so someone offed him. That's all that really matters at this point.
Oh, and by the way

Aren't these just two different ways of saying the same thing? I mean, your two results, aren't they nearly identical?

The only explanation for the lack of attention given to the significance of the assassination is because the government, the military and the media all know what happened and to expose the event for what it really was goes to the central core of what constitutes the United States of America.

You mean our government is simply standing on the shoulders of political separatists, assassinating and displacing the leaders of regimes they don't see fit for rule? And we've been doing so since at least the '60s? YOU DON'T SAY.
IMAGINE THAT GUYS.
It's a funny thing to say over a message board, Joe, but get a life.
