I just got 3D studio max 5 off kaza, and since I didn't have $1,400 for shit I've never used before, I used a key generator to "license" it. My question is, has anybody ever heared of a non-comercial user getting into trouble for piracy with this? Second, does anybody else on this board have it?
ps. I made a box.

The only way people get in trouble is by telling people they have it. well looks like you are screwed.

I have it too, and as far as I know, there's no way to get in trouble for not owning it legally. Maybe if you'd send a 3DS Max file to Kinetix for some reason and they'd check and see in their registry database if you're a certified owner, they'd find out. But they're not going to send the FBI after you.

I think it's a bit more than $1,400 though, isn't it? I thought the original program was nearly as expensive as a small new car.

I work with 3DS MAX 5 with our products. Apparently anything that is renedered through Brazil or not is etched similar to Photoshop files.

I run mine through Vecta3d for Flash anyhow so I don't worry. Have a nice day.
