Is there a way to reseal a game or movie in that shrinkwrap stuff after it's already been opened? I'm moving soon and I'd like to seal a few of my movies with paper covers so they don't get torn up

You could just chuck them in zip-lock bags and it'd do the same thing.

You'd need a shrink-wrapper, or you could get some shrinkwrap paper at home depot and then use a hairdryer to seal it. Thing is that it won't be the right size so it won't look quite right without the shrinkwrapper.

If you have any buddies that work at gamestores, all of em have a shrinkwrapper, though. They play games and then reseal the packages as new all the live long day.

Having working at quite a few video game stores and video rental stores in the past, I can confirm this.

I also used to work in a frame shop and we constantly had to shrinkwrap people's prints 'n stuff there. Some places use really cheap shrinkwrap paper though, so if you hold the air on it for even 1 second too long, it makes a hole and you have to start all over again. Fortunately, we had a lot glass in the frame shop, so whenever something like that happened, I could unleash my rage by slamming a giant metal pole into a metal garbage can filled with glass. I can't even begin to tell you how beautifully loud and therapeutic it was.

First I think I'll talk to my eb games buddy and see if he can do it.

If that doesn't work, do you think that a Copying business like Kinko's would have the means to do this too?

Kinko's should... most of them have a DIY lamination machine, so I would imagine they would have shrinkwrapping too.

They not allowed to play games now, but they do open up cases for displays, then repackage the product together if they run out of unopened copies. But I was under the impression that they didn't reseal the games, and if you called them on it, you could get it discounted slightly as being used.

Isn't it technically illegal to advertise a product as one thing, and then giving them another. Like, sellling a product as "never been opened" and resealing it so they're hopefully none the wiser? I think we need to send DeadKennedys on a Scared Straight program, because he's on the fast track to being a criminal.

Technicality. I will advertise it as SEALED. Not factory sealed, mind you, that would be a lie

I know for a fact that yes, the Staples Copy Center will shrinkwrap your junk, for a nominal fee.
