i saw a video of a recent merzbow show and it's kinda like watching someone fall asleep at their computer, but less exciting. though i will admit to still enjoying most of his releases (nowhere near as much as the old shit), the guy is NOT an entertainer.

***EDIT***: oh, and i'm listening to "three is a green crown", by the incredible string band.

It's billed under the theatre space section, so I was kind of under the impression it would be all mad visuals to go along with the playing. Especially with O'Malley's graphic design work and all. Shame

Mouth Of The Architect - Time And Withering. Another good band. Is there any interest on I-Mock for this kind of stuff?

Elvis Costello - Accidents Will Happen

Armed Forces is such a fantastic album. I should probably buy it the next chance I get

It's the strangest feeling. Because just after the hatchet goes in, and before you feel any pain, you can feel a gentle puff of cool air on your brain. It feels good. But since it's the only way to get that feeling, I try not to get hung up on it.

Depends on what it is. I haven't gotten around to any Mouth of the Architect stuff yet. I'm working on Sleepytime Gorilla Museum right now.

Also, since Adept and i were shut out of the Darkest Hour/Zao show, we have a chance to see Pelican live. Has anyone else seen them? I'd like to know if they're worth the trip. I like them, but i'm not sure if i like them enough to see and enjoy them live. I don't do any drugs, so i'm afraid i might get bored :O

what are you talking about? I don't do drugs and Pelican are like 100% total joy for me. All of their songs.

OOIOO - Mountain Book

The only thing that really interests me about Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is Carla Kihlstedt, but I never really liked Idiot Flesh either.
