Old Oct 5th, 2004, 03:12 PM        bass recommendations
for years i've been playing a fretless bass but for the type of band i'm playing with, a fretted one would be a lot better. i don't have the heart to sell my fretless, so i just want to pick up a cheap fretted bass that doesn't sound too awful. any recommendations on makes/models that fit this description? any i should specifically avoid?

OoOOh you mean cheap...I dunno, I think you have to go and see what you can find. Can't really go wrong with a fender precision or an Ibanez like mine...I wish I could go shop around with you downtown Toronto sooo much selection...I think I would just pick one that feels right and plug it in. I tried some Yamaha ones last week and was not impressed.
