Old Jul 21st, 2003, 12:52 AM        ***NEW CONTEST!!! - MAKE YOUR OWN ACTION FIGURE!***
This should be one of the most fun contests we've ever had on I-Mockery. Basically, I'm giving away a big 12" Tortured Souls "Talisac" figure to whomever creates the most interesting action figure using crap they can find lying around their house. Check out the following URL for full details on the contest along with a sample custom figure that I made myself.

I-MOCKERY CONTEST - MAKE YOUR OWN ACTION FIGURE!:
http://www.I-Mockery.com/Contests/Action-Figures

Can't wait to see what you people come up with!

I was thinking as I clicked the link, "I'm going to magic market a face onto a 2-liter and stick some sticks on for arms.".

How unoriginal of me.

Glad to see you're all going to be entering... I really think this contest is going to rock. And remember, if any of you don't have access to a camera, feel free to mail the figure(s) you create to me and I will take a photo of them with my digital camera no problemo.

And for those of you who have a camera but don't have a scanner, there's always Kinkos. You can get a photo scanned in for like a buck or two...

Use whatever materials you want. Trash, clay, dead animals, noxious chemicals... it doesn't matter as long as the end result is an "action figure" of some sort.

Well, if it does develop such a lust, you'll have a better chance of winning the contest.

Welcome to the board... from Ireland too I see. Spiffy.

Ireland, tis a foine ploice to live and grow spuds and have oor cornflakes with guiness instead of milk.

at least that what the rest of the world thinks. i dont even think you can get lucky charms here any more.

anyways, the actions figures, at the moment my abomanation is capible of bad-ass evil, and recieving human telivision transmissions as to study our weaknesses further.

once i finish glueing legs to it, it will make its move, and you better have a fresh pair of underpants when it does.

People can use whatever they want, but just because you use clay doesn't mean you're gonna win by any stretch. It's the creativity and effort that people display with whatever materials they chose that's gonna win it.

As for reassembling old action figures, you can, but you're not gonna with just by switching around parts. The idea here is for you to make something from scratch... not with pre-made toy parts.

Absolutely, if sewing 'n what not is your gig, by all means go for it. "Sew like the wind!"

Once the contest has ended and the entries are posted on the site, yeah you can, but until then, let's keep all of the entries a surprise for everybody. That's part of the fun of it... unveiling all the entries at once.

can i write an amusing backstory for whatever hidieous creation i make, for it is a tale of woe and cybernetic limb enhancements.

it is also responciple for the downfall of society, and will one day create an airborne spore which will consume human flesh.

you have been warned...

(maybe i should stop warning people and actually finish the damn thing?)
