In my mind, picking a name based off a group that had a Trojan horse, which snuck in, "inserted" itself into the enemy city, and then spilled open, to release the warriors, is not something you want a condom to do.

I've thought about that, too. It was probably named for the Trojans' strong defense, although they are quite famous for the fact that their defense was cleverly penetrated.
By the way, the
Greeks had the Trojan horse. It was the only way they could break through Troy's defenses
