Personally, I think that depends on how you apply it. I think that "thinking thin" helps and works when you have the
desire to be thin. If you think thin, have the desire to be thin, then you will take the right steps toward becoming thin...which would mean to eat less.
This phenomneon is somewhat relevant to me. I've been making some serious life changes the past several months. All of them mental and emotional changes. I've noticed that as a result of those changes, new possibilities have opened up to me that I wouldn't have even thought could be real before I made these changes. One of these things is to think positively, and that what I want can be possible.
For example...while I'm not necessarily making more money right now, I do feel better about my money being safe and secure. And I realize that even if I might spend more--I now buy my own stuff whenever I can--The money doesn't go away.
