Old Feb 17th, 2003, 04:21 PM        Sci-Fi Daily Rotation Returns?
No kidding. I found out this morning that Sci-Fi finally got some sense back for a limited time and are planning on bringing back their 'daily rotation' of shows they had back in 2000. All it means is that they're now running daily five hour marathons of the various shows they have in their archives like the complete run of Battlestar Galactica (and Galactica '80), Buck Rogers, and various other shows to the end of March.

So, if you want to get these on tape, now is the time to do it.

For more info find the Schedulebot.

FUCK SCIFI. They canceled Farscape, the best show they ever aired, and the one that helped make them what they are today.

Hey, I hate Sci-Fi as much as anybody but that doesn't mean you can get a few shows off of them. VCR timed recordings don't count towards Nielsen points.

NOTHING counts toward Nielsen points unless you're one of the relative few Nielsen families out there. Which is why Farscape got screwed.

IT IS THE BEST SCIENCE FICTION SHOW EVER.

When I checked out that link before, I noticed a lot of links and references to Stargate SG-1. Is that show doing well? I followed it for a while, but got tired of it soon enough. If it weren't for the movie and the full frontal nudity shot from the pilot episode, I don't suppose I'd have bothered watching it at all.

FS, it seems like it developed into the new Matlock.

The only people I notice that watch it with any frequency are the same demographic that buy Dentucreme.

Of course I could be wrong..

..but well, I don't recall hearing anyone that's under 50 saying that they've watched it for more than a season.

Too bad though, I liked the movie.

Expect it to suddenly die after this season. That's the way Sci-Fi works, through the way the reruns will go you won't notice until a few months down the line.

you're right, it's a REALLY great show, I watch it whenever I can. I like the jokes and effects, and a lot of other stuff, but I'm too damn lazy to describe what I like about the show.

Well, in an earlier post, I mentioned Quantum Leap, so I was surprised that I got up early (on my day off, no less) and noticed that Quantum Leap was on for at least 2 hours. Hmm.

I wouldn't mind seeing Farscape again, although with the way SciFi's going, you're going to see Futurama before that. At least that wouldn't be a bad thing...
