Old Jan 29th, 2004, 03:31 PM        NO MORE PICKLE HATS WTF?
I just called up the company and they're apparently not selling the hats anymore. They wouldn't/couldn't even tell me who printed the hats for them so that I could make some custom ones. I was planning on ordering a ton of them too. :/

Any ideas where I could find a printer that would print those hats? Cuz I could always scan in one of mine and customize it.

Try printing them out on regular paper, cutting it out, and gluing it to cardboard.

no pickle hats = teh suck

There's a company down where I live that can print out poserboards and such. I'm sure they'd be able to help you. :/

Or, if you could tell me what material the hats use, I could do it. We have a huge printer at our school in which I could print it all out. But I need to know what material it is. :o

It uses a somewhat thick white cardstock paper to print the hats on, but it's not thick like cardboard or anything. The side that has the actual pickle on it is glossy too. Getting them printed wouldn't be hard I'm sure, it's finding a place that can print them AND cut them all that I imagine would be difficult. Cuz there's no way I'm gonna cut out 200 pickle hats or whatever by hand. There's machines that can do that stuff, I just don't know what companies have 'em.

If you were going to give them out in club packs, or something. You don't really need to cut them out :/. Just send the paper and some *wacky* instructions. :/

Why don't you just cut the whole stack at once with a fine toothed coping saw? It should ony take a minute or so.

I thought they were made of foam...now that would be cool. If you found a place that would make foam hats I'd help pay for it.

Hickman beat me to it. Just let the people who want a pickle hat cut it out themselves, because a printing company will take that money right through your peehole to cut a curved shape on full-colour cardstock.

You could also make fun of Gedney on your website now, or start a petition for pickle hats.

No news on it cuz nobody's helped me find a place that can print & cut 'em. If anybody can help me find a place, that'd kick ass.

I'm also working on getting ready for a huge change to I-Mockery (migrating the entire site from .asp to .php and onto a new server so we'll never get "farked" again).

Awesome! I don;t think I know anyone in the printing business, but I'll ask around to be sure. Customized pickle hats would rule!
