I didn't make either of the maps i included. They are just some i found and asked if i could use so people could mess about with the new guns withouth having to do the campaign again.

I visit about 3 big HL2 forums regularly and keep up to date on all the latest things which have been released and i can tell you that my mod is fairly unique for HL2.

As i mentioned before, other people have just been editing script files for more ammo/bullet time or making physics mods like JB mod or Garrys which although fun do not incolve a great deal of combat.

Find another mod where you can use the flaregun and sniper rifle and il gladly admit i was wrong.

In quake, you could do a lot of that from the console, and the rest from one of the dat files. It's the same for almost every FPS and there's most likely a way to do it in HL because programmers often leave small stuff in easily-editable files so they don't have to compile a million times just to get the 'right' amount of blood or whatever.

But whatever, 'wah wah let's see you do this see i know some names of code even though all i do is find snippets and edit and move them to change stuff'. I'm not a programmer, haven't worked with any programming language for years, but everything in your mod sound sounds like you went rooting through code randomly changing values until you found something 'NEET' and kept it, then threw some shitty graphics over it to make it look like something original.

And EVEN IF anything you mentioned was somehow difficult to pull off in HL2, it's still the most unoriginal tripe i've ever seen IN MY GOD DAMN LIFE

This has been as much of a leaning experience as a chance to make some cool stuff for my favourite game.

your mod however is for a few limp bizkit fans to play with for all of 10 minutes, get really fucking bored, and then send a trojan to your email for making such a redundant mod.

in other words, you failed at making a somewhat decent mod. and chances are you're going to fail again. so you might as well never try

This is my first real mod and im pretty much learning C++ as i go along so its not going to be anything too special but from the feedback i have been getting from people who actually own the game its not looking too bad at all.

If you think you can do better, go right ahead.

I would not mind he if had actually tried it before declaring it a POS. But its obvious he is just firstly sucking up to chojin and secondly persueing a personal dislike for me.

I dont even know why im bothering to argue about this. its like banging my head against a wall.

I played your mod metal I thought it was fun. The best part about it was the auto bolt gun and flare gun. If you plan on making another you should add a more powerful gravity gun like that can pick up cars and crap. I liked your mod alot though props to ya.

Yea that'll probably be the secondary fire of the bolt gun. Some other guy is working on it with me now so we should be able to get alot more done in a shorter space of time.
