I'm not saying that because it's something that I'VE been through. I'm speaking from the experience of witnessing it in someone else and it is real. It's not something that they've totally caused themselves or that is easily escapeable ... the yolk of which can be tossed off with a simple "snap out of it!". I'm not saying people shouldn't help themselves. I'm saying that it's not as easy and formula as you portray.

I've witnessed it too, several times in fact, and from what I can tell most people who suffer from it, don't even have problems that are worthy enough to be depressed over, let alone commiting suicide over. And it gets to the point where they're just seeking attention and they just become needy and annoying.

Actually, those most inflicted with depression are generally the most apt to conceal it. I guarantee that nobody here knew anything about my depression before Regina made the post proclaiming I was dead (while I was really just almost-dead). After it was made public, I figured I may as well be in good humor about it.
