Not sure where the other
twin is, but I suppose it's nice to see Seraph getting along
with him. Dick Tracy was looking cool as ever... even with his book bag
in-hand.
The guy on the left was nice
enough to stop chowing down on his burger to let me take a photo. While he
had a good sense of humor, the lady on the right was all business.
Big crowds and big displays
gallore...
This must be what Christian Bale looked like when he first tried on the
Batman outfit right after he finished wrapping up "The Machinist" film.
Good thing he gained that weight eventually, eh? And speaking of weight,
on the right is the only Princess Leia slavegirl outfit that looked
good at the Comic-Con. The others made me wince in fear.
People were saying Narnia is
gonna be the next Lord of the Rings.
We'll see about that, but their giant display was real nice.
One of my favorite booths
was the Topps booth because they had all sorts
of old Garbage Pail Kids and Wacky Packages on display, along with
previews
of the new ones that are coming out soon. Check out those rare Ugly
Buttons
from 1966... they just don't make 'em like that anymore.

FRIENDS 4EVER! <3
Voltron you say?
The Sci-Fi channel may not
have the most interesting shows, but they
definitely know how to design a pretty badass looking booth.
Death Cycle... the only way
to travel in style!
I hate that they wouldn't
take the tarp off of Optimus Prime truck this year. Supposedly
they're waiting until next year. Biggest fanboy cocktease of the whole
convention...
'TIS DANA SNYDER! THE VOICE
OF MASTER SHAKE FROM AQUA TEEN HUNGER FORCE!
More new toys, including an
Aqua Teen Hunger Force set that actually looked pretty good (unlike the
cheap plush toys they released not too long ago). And there's one of the
death trap props from "Saw"... the prop was much more interesting than the
movie.
I get attacked by a coven of
witches who wanted some I-Mockery freebies. Spooky. :o
How could
things possibly get any better? Enter Reggie Bannister, one of my favorite
horror movie actors. Phantasm is easily one of the greatest horror film
series ever created, and meeting Reggie was definitely one of the
highlights of the convention for me. He's extremely easy-going and he even
got me on Fangoria TV with him for a little while. We can only hope that
they'll do another Phantasm movie sometime soon. Until then, rock on
Reggie, rock on...
