I was trying to kill some overgrown ants, but I think I may have accidentally destroyed a building?
It's hard to say, cuz Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon was a pretty crazy game.
Rise of Nightmares looked nice enough, but the motion controls didn't seem quite responsive enough.
Either that, or this girl who was trying it out on the screen was just really bad at the game.
NeverDead lives up to its name in that you can keep on fighting even as you lose limbs. I like the idea,
but it's a novelty that I fear will get old as you get further into the game, fight harder enemies
and find yourself constantly having to retrieve your lost body parts.
That said, it's pretty amusing playing as a mere severed head. An immortal severed head, but a severed head nonetheless.
Starting in 2011, all booth babes are given heavy artillery to fend off nerdy guys who try to get too touchy-feely.
My good buddy Keith Apicary was wounded by one of those stupid "World of Tanks" tanks, so I had to help him out.
But then his health took a turn for the worse, so I did what any E3 soldier would do...
I carried him out on my shoulders.
For the record, he's the best free E3 swag I've ever taken home with me.
Newsflash: many things explode in video games these days.
Dr. Boogie had the sword and I had the giant gun.
Take a guess who scored more points in that Warhammer 40k: Kill Team game.
I don't care what anybody says, Warhammer 40k: Space Marine should be all about this floating skull and nothing more.
The Easter Bunny has seen better days.
Death, however, looks a lot better.
I just hope she's not planning on introducing my face to that gargantuan scythe.
Halo: Reach toys by Square Enix.
She's got a head with wings.
(Come on... somebody out there has to be a Morphine fan.)
I found Andre "BlackNerd" Meadows and quickly demanded he give me the foot rub he still owes me.
Your Nerf gun and footy pajamas don't scare me.
I'm still not a fan of Glee. Deal with it.
The official Ninja Gaiden 3 booth was badass looking with three large pillar screens sitting in front of a foggy city backdrop.
Margaritaville - the game. Island ladies not included. Sorry fellas.
A huge Sonic Generations statue. Sonic numba one!
Nyko was giving out the same bright wigs that their booth babes wear every year. Yay?
New Sims accesories for your car?
Chun Li seemed extremely welcoming at the Street Fighter vs. Tekken booth...
...until I asked for her phone number.
And before we left, I took one last shot of the Twisted metal booth from outside and noticed my
reflection was about to be destroyed by Sweet Tooth in his robot form. A prophetic message? Only time will tell.
Now before I end this gargantuan gallery of photos, do you remember how last year we concluded our
E3 coverage with
a photo
of the greatest storefront sign on earth featuring a burrito-eating shark named Mr. Shark?
Well I'm sad to report that this fine establishment has closed and the new tenants foolishly painted over Mr. Shark...
Only faint remnants of the once mighty Mr. Shark squeezing the life out of a burrito still remain...
But we shall never forget the glory that he once was. NEVER.
And that pretty much does it for our joint coverage of the 2011 Electronics Entertainment Expo! Hope you guys enjoyed it all and have at least a handful o' new games that you're looking forward to playing. Be sure to share your thoughts about the expo, the games and all the announcements that were made in the comments area below. See ya next year E3!

You know, Rog, at least there's a new Shinobi coming out, who cares what system it's on? I would murder someone for the chance to play a new Strider game on anything, let alone the DS.
Want to add a few things though, if its ok?
Your not really saying it is at all but its worth noting that Operation Raccoon City isn't a sequel to Resident Evil, its more of a alternate reality Left 4 Dead-ish (like you mentioned) side thing. And the only reason I'm saying its alternate reality is because of the prospect of doing certain things that will make other things in the RE Universe never happen (But I won't spoil the event for anyone who may not know). The real RE4-ish, horror, experience is going to come from the 3DS RE title Revelations, which is looking like its going to be sort of going back to the series darker roots.
As for Silent Hill, theres a lot riding on this game resonating with fans. Konami knows people didn't groove on Homecoming and really seem to want to change that. So thats probably the reason why the game was shown in such a shoddy alpha state as it was, companies usually tend to do something like this when they have to prove something and want to show it. Whether or not they polish all that out, or even make a truly likable game out of what they have, is something we really don't know till its closer to release.
I don't believe Capcom's ever had anything to do with Dead Island and I can't find anything off hand that says they ever did. That said, Square-Enix will be publishing this one for Deep Silver.
Given all the stupid crap the Hulk's been (or put himself) through in recent years I'm not surprised he didn't look so cheery.
Duke Nukem Forever came out today in the US (and last Friday elsewhere), so that's probably why it had such a huge line at last weeks show. People were chewing a the bit to play it.
Overall though I was really unimpressed with E3 all together this year. There were some small things here and there that I'm looking forward to but if the show never existed I'd be just as interested if I read them on some website somewhere.
they didn't happen to have an arcadia/starpath supercharger, did they?
That Famicom Box is really great. And I'm ridiculously excited about the new Twisted Metal.
I just can't help but wonder what Rei thinks of Rog flirting with all those booth babes.
Also, those were some phenomenal pictures. Especially the old gaming stuff.
