As if the
original "Pinball" game on the Nintendo Entertainment System (which
featured Mario) wasn't enough, Playtime released this miniature tabletop
Pinball game. This thing was pure NOISE. The sounds it emitted were enough
to give you a migraine after just a few minutes of play. Furthermore, I
can't imagine any parent not regretting the purchase of this thing for a
hyperactive child. My parents regretted buying it for my brother, and we
rejoiced when the thing finally broke. Or maybe the batteries just died
and we told him it broke. I'll never tell.
Anyway, the
pinball machine itself wasn't anything that special either. It did have
the extra paddle on the top right side, but other than that, it was your
basic cheap pinball machine toy. Other than the artwork, it really didn't have
anything to do with Super Mario Bros. But hey, at least it wasn't a Super
Mario......... CEILING FAN.
What
the fuck were they thinking!?
More
proof that if something existed, Nintendo was sure they could sell
it as long as they slapped some Super Mario Bros. characters onto it.
