1/25/2002 - The
O-Man Hits The Big Screen!

Steve Oedekerk's "KUNG POW!"
I know I haven't updated
this page in a long time, and that's mainly because I've been
extremely busy working on the
rest of my site that
has grown leaps and bounds in the past year! But I just got back
from the the local movie theater and I saw one of the funniest
movies that I've seen in a long time. That movie is Steve
Oedekerk's "KUNG POW!". Finally Steve is starring in a
movie of his own on the big screen. It's good to see him as the
lead character again.
For those of you who were
worried that the movie wasn't going to be funny, lemme tell you,
it's friggin' hysterical! The commercials DO NOT do this movie
justice. It's like they picked the least funny things from the
movie and put them all in the trailers and commercials. Trust me
though, your stomach will be in PAIN after laughing so hard
throughout the movie. Steve's bizarre style of humor works great
in this martial arts spoof. The old 70's martial arts film footage
is seamlessly blended in with the new footage. And get ready for
some of the strangest vocal sound effects you'll ever hear!
Be sure to check out the
Official
Kung Pow Movie Site to learn more about the film!

Thumbs Update
Good news for all fans of
the "Thumb" series! There's going to be about 6
different Thumb videos released between now and the end of 2001,
so keep an eye out for those! Thumb Wars, Thumbtanic,
Thumbwrestling and more!
5/30/2000 - More
Updates from "The O-Fan"
Principal shooting is finished for The Dubbed Action movie. Now the long
task of putting the film together begins. A hilarious scene involving a CGI
bull and Steve matching up in an "epic" martial arts battle will be included
(I saw an unfinished version of the scene and never laughed so hard in my
life). The release date for The Dubbed Action movie has been moved to
February. This way the movie will pretty much have the whole month to itself
(all the blockbusters are released during summer and at the end of year
holiday times). If all goes well, there will likely be a Dubbed Action 2,
and there is even talks of Dubbed Action 3 (Steve has said the story is
written as a trilogy).
The secret animation project is all but a go. Until signatures are gotten,
this one will remain under wraps. The project will take about 18 months to 2
years to complete. The movie is going to be an animated spoof of the Disney
genre movies.
Even with the demise of www.den.net, Thumbwrestling will still be developed
as a viable project. The time that would have been spent on the four various
projects will now be spent developing Thumbwrestling. One avenue being
looked at is a toy line of the Thumbwrestling characters.
Thumbmatrix is looking more and more likely to be released in the summer of
2001.

"Wild Willy Parsons" tells his tales!
Quick update here. Wild
Willy Parsons just sent in a cool little story about the filming
of that impossible-to-find Oedekerk movie, "Smart Alex".
Check it out here!
4/26/2000 - THE
NEW STEVE OEDEKERK WORSHIP PAGE IS HERE!
I am pleased to announce
that the new Steve Oedekerk Worship Page is now online and fully
functional! The menu system has been improved (goofy voices
included for those of you who have sound), all of the pages have
been completely updated, and best of all: HIGH STRUNG now has its
very own section. A huge section completely dedicated to what I
consider to be the funniest movie of all time! Many thanks to
everyone (especially the director, Roger Nygard) who have
sent me all sorts of HIGH STRUNG. tidbits! Now you will find TONS
of new photos and information on HIGH STRUNG. Besides the largest
information resource about the movie HIGH STRUNG on the web, we're
now getting updates on a regular basis from "O-Fan"
about what Steve Oedekerk and O Entertainment are up
to! So check back often for all the O INFORMATION!
I hope all of you enjoy the
new web site, please sign the guestbook
and/or email me and let me know what you
think of it!

Updates from a generous "0-Fan"
An Oedekerk fan who wishes
to remain anonymous has generously offered to keep us informed of
practically everything going on with Steve Oedekerk. You can
expect to receive weekly updates here from now on! Lots 'n lots of
O Info! Here's what's going on with Steve Oedekerk and O
Entertainment right now:
1. Shooting for
"The Dubbed Action Movie: Enter the Fist" has been moved
to Mexico. The various unions in Hollywood were tipped to the fact
that Steve, in order to save money, was working with nonunion workers. The
unions came in and did their thing (basically threaten all workers with never
working again), and the shoot was halted for about a week and a half. They
are currently shooting in the same place that Titanic was shot. update:
Dubbed will be ready for delivery by July 31 for a fall release date.
2. You probably know this one, but the movie "Jimmy
Neutron: Boy Genius" has been green lit. The first glimpse of JN will be seen later this
year in the form of shorts and interstitials. Basically little minute long
stories put in between Nickelodeon's regular shows. The movie will come out in
2001.
The TV series will come out in 2001 as well. Merchandising will be
involved, and with the clout of Nickelodeon and Paramount behind it expect
this sucker to be big.
Below is a partial list of the names of some of the interstitial
spots that will be seen on Nickelodeon later this year:
Cookie Time
Carl Squared
New Dog, Old Tricks
Invisible Boy
Remote Possibilities
Who's There?
3. "Thumb Double Feature" will be appearing in
theaters later this year. It is basically "Thumb Wars" and "Thumbtanic"
presented as a double feature. Steve still has to shoot the new footage for the movie ("The
Thumbersons," a mock "dancing food" intermission, etc.) and transfer the
video to film.
Steve was at the American Film Market (AFM), trying to set up
international distribution deals. He has a few handshake deals that have to be
finalized.
4. "The O Show" (formerly called "steve.oedekerk.com")
and "Santa vs. The Snowman" are both on sale in video format at www.ochannel.com.
5. "Thumb Wars" is on sale at www.thumb.com.
Also, "Thumb Wars" mugs are available for purchase.
There is a link to buy the mugs on the www.thumb.com
site.
6. A deal was just signed between Steve and The Digital
Entertainment Network (DEN). The deal is a three year deal in which Steve will
provide DEN with four shows. The shows currently slated for the DEN lineup are
"Thumbwrestling," "The O Show," and "Dirk
Derby Wonder Jockey." The fourth
show is yet to be decided. Each show will have 26 episodes per
year (an episode every two weeks). Each episode will be 4 to 8 minutes
long. People will be able to view the shows at www.den.net.
You can go there now and there's a link to a little press release DEN has about the deal.
This further extends Steve into providing first class Internet
entertainment, which (I'm sure you know) he believes in strongly.
7. Steve is in serious negotiations with Fox about what is
being called a "secret animated feature." I know the name of the
project, but until it's safe to say what it is I'd rather not. What's interesting about
this deal is that Fox's Phoenix unit (it's animation arm), has basically
folded. Steve is trying to take this opportunity to create his own animation studio
and make the entire film himself (not personally, of course, just within
his own organization). Again, I know what the name of Steve's animation
outfit would
be, but until some things get worked out I'm gonna sit on that
information.
8. I mentioned the AFM earlier. Along with "Thumb
Double Feature," Steve also had two other projects available for international
distribution; "The Barnyard," an all CGI series following the strange lives of
barnyard animals. One page web site at www.funinthebarnyard.com.
He also had "Billy the Destroyer," a movie featuring a nine-year old boy with a
gigantic "pet" robot with which he proceeds to save the world. He's got a one page site
up at www.billythedestroyer.com.
What is important to remember about these
projects is the fact that Steve is looking to produce the projects
himself using no studio money. If he can achieve that goal, he will in
essence start to become his own studio, making projects himself.
9. "Dubbed Action" does have a one page website
at www.dubbedaction.com.
(webmaster's
note: I'm HIGHLY anticipating this movie!)
10. As your web site indicates, Steve is trying to get the
rights to "High Strung" back. Not sure what his plans are for that.
11. Steve does have an agreement with Active Worlds in
which people can download the Active Worlds browser and chat with other fans in a
virtual world. People can choose avatars that other people will see them
as. Steve wants to do something with this technology, but making his
projects come to life is his first priority. You can download the software at
www.activeworlds.com.
12. Steve is
seriously trying to get "Thumatrix" pushed through at
Fox. His feeling is that people will want another taste of
"The Matrix" without having to wait another two years
for the sequel to come out. Should be an interesting movie.
13. A very important step towards his own animation company has started.

these to come here on a weekly basis!

OLDER
UPDATES:
3/14/2000:
Sorry for the
lack of updates recently. www.I-Mockery.com
has gotten really busy as of lately and I'm trying to maintain a
gazillion sites. Well not that many, but I'm gettin there (not to
mention I work a 40-hour-a-week job aside from all this stuff).
Anyway, I
don't have much news except that Thumb Wars and Thumbtanic are
going to be going to the big screen! So be sure to support the
mighty Thumbs as soon as it comes to a theatre near you! Also, you
might have seen the Earthlink commercial with Thumbtanic featured
on it. That got www.thumbtv.com
about 15 million hits in 15 days! Whew, not too shabby!
There's also
some funny new stuff on www.oedekerk.com
so if you haven't seen it lately, check it out. I particularly
like the fortune cookie!
Oedekerk is
still apparently working on his martial arts film. (hopefully he's
not still knocking himself unconscious with his "chuckas"
like he did before! hehaha!) Welp that's about it for now. My
friend is still working on typing up the script so hopefully he
will be done with it in the not too distant future. But he works a
job just like me, so we'll get it to you as soon as possible
people. Thanks for your continued interest and support.

1/8/2000:
A couple of things going on right now with the
Oedekerk site. First off, I've just added some new pictures to the
site in the MEDIA section that you've got to check out. It's original
artwork from the movie High Strung compliments of
Pickman! If you've seen the movie you've got to see these
pictures!
Next, for all of you who have asked about where
you can buy the "Steve.Oedekerk.Com" video that
aired on NBC a while ago, your search has ended! Steve Oedekerk
has put up a new improved site where you can purchase it! Go to http://www.theoshow.com
and you can order it! He's included extra footage that wasn't even
aired on television!
For everyone that has asked about when I'm going
to be posting the entire movie script for the movie High Strung,
IT'S COMING! I promise it is. I've got a real busy schedule with
work and maintaining all my sites on www.i-mockery.com
but luckily one of my friends was nice enough to offer to help
type up the entire thing! So I would like to thank "Zero
Signal" for offering his typing services to help the mighty
good cause known as Oedekerk! Stay tuned for updates on the
progress of the script!
Also, anybody who hasn't seen Oedekerk's latest
hilarious work, "Thumb Wars", should go directly to http://www.thumbtv.com
RIGHT NOW!
In other news, Oedekerk just told me that he's going to be
inserting himself into an old martial arts film! Oedekerk vs.
Jackie Chan? Who do you think would win? It's sure to be
hilarious.
Finally, for all of you who are having trouble finding a copy of
the ever-so-elusive "High Strung", try ebay.
I've seen it on there many times; probably once every two weeks at
least! So if yer willing to spend a little extra money for the
film, go for it! There is hope for those of you who don't want to
spend so much on it though... Although it's out of print, Oedekerk
is trying to get the rights to the movie. If he does, it will be
made available to everyone!
Welp, that's all for now. Keep spreading the word about the
Almighty O! Stay tuned for big updates on this page. So glad to
finally have my own domain for this stuff instead of being on
Geocities!
