Ska Hate Mail & Praise Mail

Ever wondered if people actually get mad at this page? Believe it or not, plenty of people do, so I decided I'd start sharing some of the hate mail I get with you people. I also include some of the cool comments that people give me as well to show that now all people who listen to ska can't take a joke. Only some of them react badly. Anyways Enjoy!

you dont even know how enormously pissed i am at you. unless you are kidding, if not my guess is that you like wrap music with those pothead bastards who talk about hiding behind a gun and shooting stuff
instead of using their pusy ass fists you are gay!

so i dare you to go to a ska show and try to last 2 minutes in a skank pit wearing an i hate ska shirt because you will get your ass kicked and if thats not enough try and start a fight without your gun wich is for stupid pusies and and try to beat up a straightrdger who likes ska
ska is better than wrap

-"kirby yardley" weezer_weezer@hotmail.com

Wrap music? What the hell is Wrap music? People running around with plastic wrap on stage while trying to play instruments? I don't have a gun, nor do I bother wasting my time "fighting with my fists" to prove a point. I prefer to prove a point with intelligence... a concept that is obviously foreign to you. Take care, you ignorant little rebel you!

though everything u say is bullshit. You are a typical starotyper. What kind of music do u listen to? see thats just the thing doing something like this just shows how big of a looser you are. You actully waist your time to create a website about something you hate. (Well then again i can relate on that) But still at least the websites i have created actully had some kind of design. So perhaps i should make a site bout how bad your site is :) Im glad my ska realted sites spark your flame. Cause i have created so many
of them. Ska is just too complez for your simple minded soul. Just one question partner what do u think is a ska band?

from: Skagent99@aol.com

What do I think is a ska band? How about a collective of uncreative human waste? I know nothing of your "ska related sites", nor do I care to see them. Go ahead and make a site about how bad my site is, let's see what you've up your checkered sleeves pal... BTW, what is a "starotyper"? Nice grammar.
-Skared

I've got to hand it to you...you literally read my mind...I couldn't help but laugh when i saw how many of your perceptions of ska were so closely related to mine.. excellent page...keep up the good work...

btw, ever notice how defensive ska fans get when someone criticizes they're music?...shit..you better stand back :)

-John Carinci john.carinci@utoronto.ca

Many thanks for the comments on the site, glad to hear we think alike! Yeah many ska fans will get quite defensive about it, but I've had plenty of ska fans that are completely cool about this site and think it's funny. That kind of goes for all music scenes really. Some people take their scenes/music FAR too seriously, some people don't.
-Skared

So making fun of skanks and goths, eh? ska does have a lot of different variety to it but you wouldn't know that because you don't listen to it. has anyone reported your ass to the proper authorities for ripping off someone's "history of ska" article? no? oh well let me do that then...

-Josh Kellough joshgod01@yahoo.com

Uh oh! He's gonna call the SKA Police on me! They're going to beat me with their trumpets and empty their spit valves on my dead corpse! Oh the horror! Speaking of trumpets, it sounds like you've got one stuck way up your ass. It's a PARODY kid, grow up and get a sense of humor for crissakes...
-Skared

um... wow. i happen to like real ska a great deal.
by real i mean the good stuff, not this reel big
fish/mighty mighty bosstones/... well i could name
more but you get the idea ska-crap. um, i don't know
whether to laugh or wish that i knew you personally so i could kick your ass for such blasphemy. you
obviously either are a fan of ska or have way too much time to learn enough about a subject that you despise so much that you are able to really really get to somebody that does. if the latter is true, i highly
respect your opinion of the music that i hold close to
my heart, seeing as every other person i have come
across that claims to hate 'ska' hasn't the patience
to learn what ska really is. (well hmph... i guess i
can't wish to know you personally so i could kick your
ass if i highly respect your opinion.) well whatever,
the only people i hate are ignorant bigots, so keep up
the good work, i think.

"whatever doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger...
or cripples you for life."

-Kevin hventaclu@yahoo.com

I'll never understand why so many ska fans want to "kick my ass". Is it my breath? Well anyway... thanks for respecting my opinion, I think.
-Skared

This is not so much a hate mail to you... It's actually hate (or confusion) mail for the ska fans that hate you.

Firstly I am a big fan of ska and enjoy all types from prince buster to the specials to the toasters (I just had to clear that up).

I found your site was hilarious. I laughed so much I almost cried. It was really cool and you should keep going with it. Anyway to the point.

Those idiots that abuse you for hating ska obviously don't understand the meaning of most ska music. They should support your opinion and not be closed
minded little fucks. The ska scene is about acceptance, yet they don't accept you. Their immature actions at obvious quality humour are stupid, start growing up.

Well, don't worry about the few whiny ska fans that bitch about this site Joel. They're in the minority. Most of the ska fans I've spoke with find this site just as amusing as you do. They don't get all worked up about the content of the site. But ya gotta admit, it's always hilarious when a ska fan does get pissed at this site. It's quite absurd that someone would take this site "personally"!
-Skared

listen dude, everyone's entitled to their own opions, as are you. however, there is no need to do what you have done. have you never heard "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" im not gonna act all tough and threaten an ass kicking or anything. and don't try to pretend you have no idea why all these die hard fans are retaliating to your critism, cleary if your favorite music, whatever that may be, was being uslessly made fun of, you would more than likely be frustrated or outraged as well. also i think there is nothing wrong with ska music. if you listen toit, all the bands seem to convey a non racist, anti-violence message which i think is great, maybe if there was more music like ska, people might get a clue, oh well, thanks for hearin me out

-Jason raerunner@starpower.net

Did I drag you to this site? No. You came here of your own free will, pal. So you subjected yourself to my words. And I'm sorry to tell you, but I make fun of LOTS of the music that I am into. In fact, I'm currently working on another site that makes fun of one of my favorite kinds of music! Why? Because I am able to laugh at others as well as MYSELF. Something you should try. Get a sense of humor pal.
-Skared

Hey there... hahaha.. I'm in a ska band too.... and I enjoy the music, as bad as that may seem..... I always hear about people that hate ska, but have no
real reason to.... I want to thank you for showing people that opinion should be accepted in this beautiful country.... too many people out there use their freedom of speech as a tool to shoot down other's freedom of speech. I personally enjoy it when I talk to somebody that hates ska.... I think that
it's a sign of intelligence... not really of the hate of the music, but more of the ability to speak their own, and not conform to what may help them gain ground among a particularly small part of the population. You're very right about many of the things you say... My band portrays a lot of talent, but we've played with enough bands that have more fans than brain cells, even on the local level, to show that talent isn't always needed.... thanks for being yourself.... and thanks for showing that just because a ska band is one of the universal symbols of "cool," you don't have to conform to get reactions.

Lostboyeric00@aol.com

Well I thank you for your comments and your open-mindedness about my opinions of ska. But I do indeed have good reason to hate ska, all I have to do is listen to it! heheheheh.
