Review: At first glance, this looks like your typical spooky music collection that always end up being a disappointment. Well, that's not the case with this CD. Fact is, the reason I actually own it is because it was playing in a seasonal Halloween store while I was sifting through their merchandise. I ran up to the checkout counter and asked them what this hilarious Halloween music was and they proudly introduced me to "Halloween Chiller Dance Party!"

If you desire cheese in its purest form, you need not go to Wisconsin... simply listen to this album and you will be amazed. The most surprising thing to me was discovering that it was recorded in 2008 because it has all the makings of a classic 80s synth-pop dance album. They make good use of vocoders and other classic sound effects you'd expect from that decade.

The songs themselves are actually pretty catchy (especially their speedy "Monster Mash 3000!") and would definitely serve as the perfect backdrop to any Halloween party. Furthermore, how can you go possibly go wrong with titles such as "Spooky!", "Trance-Formers!" and "Super Dark Super Heroes!". Yes, just like the album name itself, every song title ends with an exclamation point. That's how excited they are about their music, so I guess you should be too. By the way, I'm pretty sure that the only lyrics to the song "Spoooky!" is the word "spooky" repeated countless times. Sometimes they'll mix it up and go "spookaaay!". Yeah, you could say it's a pretty incredible song.

It's a fun album chock full o' tunes that are sure to generate some laughs if nothing else, so I'd say it's a must-have for your Halloween music collection.

The local store that I frequent was playing something that had all different versions of the monster mash. I was in there for about an hour and a half and wanted to kill myself.
