Captain Goodtimes I did mine, but instead of Gish , I took the whole movie poster thing in a whole diffrent direction.

Spectre X I'm not going to win because I won't enter.

This contest confines me too much.

Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, Finger Paints... use whatever works for ya.

Pub Lover Who is judging the contest?
Aug 3rd, 2004 09:14 PM
Mockery Actually, I've given away club packs before in the past, but if I have extras lying around the next time I do a contest, I'll try to include one as a prize since some of you have expressed interest in 'em :o

Anyway, the prizes for the current Gish contest are as follows:

1st place - Registered/Signed copy of Gish
2nd place - Gish T-Shirt (and no it's not Cafepress Choj o.o )
3rd place - Three I-Mockery stickers of your choice

Considering I see half of you guys just screwin' around with funny photoshops in this forum all the time with no prizes involved, that's not a bad bunch o' goods that 3 of you could potentially win in this contest.

MLE for an interesting art contest, i'd definetly be happy with just a club pack :> i like bumper stickers.

Supafly345 I was going to say something about how boring that contest was, but it wasn't well accepted the last time I critacized someone the site was involved with, so I decided not to say anything.

It isn't the prize that interests me into participating in these, it is how much I will enjoy making it. A movie poster just doen't appeal to me, especially when it is done about a game I will never play. If a contest seems fun enough to participate in, I would even do it if the prize was, oh I don't know, just a club pack.

subterfuge My excuse is pure laziness, otherwise I'd enter every contest.

ScruU2wice I finished mine

it's very :/ .

Anonymous Well, I said at least t-shirts, but I'd personally need something substantial at stake to actually put in the effort to enter one. Like the Postal 2 running with scissors sign or something, not just a game and apparel from cafepress. I jus don't have the time these days ;< For the loaf project, Emily baked the catbread, then kept bugging and bugging me to take pictures and photoshop it into an entry ;<

Uh, there are shirts included in the contest prizes.

Regardless, it's no harder to enter a contest like this - and have your work displayed for most of the people who visit the site to see and have a chance at winning a game (which actually is really well done in case you haven't played it) or a t-shirt - than it is to enter one of these other amusing contests here on the forum such as Matt Harty's recent contest. It's not like the majority of the people who visit the site are these awe-inspiring artists or anything, they're just like you guys, so there's no reason to be intimidated or anything about entering.

I'm gonna be holding a LOT more contests here on I-Mockery, including some forum-exclusive ones, once the new site launches. It's just always sad when I take the time to setup a big contest and 50% the people who are constantly on the I-Mockery forums don't even participate.

Help a brutha out :/

Anonymous No offense or anything dude, but if the contest is officially hosted by the site, the prize would have to actually be worth getting for serious contenders to enter. I dunno about anyone else, but some game I've never heard of made by some guy in an unprofessional 3-man programming crew doesn't really fit into the 'prize worth getting' category, at least fo' me. Yes, even if he signs it :o

Only reason people entered the catloaf contest is because Nekopan is already a popular concept, and because expectations were already way low with Mattchew running the contest. There isn't a big internet craze going around with a ball of tar.
