Underappreciated retro soundtracks

World of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. The tunes are all well constructed (especially the carpet ride music).

I agree on that one. Zombies ate my neighbors is also very under-appreciated, musically.

I'd have to say Pulseman. Even though it wasn't released in America.

But if I had to pick an American one, it'd be Gauntlet IV.

Tekken 3 (sort of retro). It's without a doubt the best soundtrack of any of the games, but no one really talks about it (despite Tekken 3 being considered one of the greatests fighting games ever made). I thought the first too games (although not so bad in the second) felt overproduced and stock (hell, the sound effects, interfaces, and overall presentation felt stock). Tekken 3 really complemented the action in the game, mixing electronica, rock, and funk. The music to the last few games. however, didnt really feel right.

That bluegrass theme in that Donald Duck stage where he's floating on a leaf was pretty cool, too.

Rygar for NES was great.
