People in the southern hemisphere aren't allowed to edit.
Having said that, I am a serial non-quote replier, and while sometimes it screws me up (like when I don't realise that there is a whole other page of conversation after what I am replying to) it does look much neater, and seem smarter when it is actually posted right after what I am replying to.
