*SPOILER*


There was one point in the game where you come down some stairs into a bloody room (surprise), and there is a door with a white light above it. You hear a sound like something huge is stomping, and every time you hear it, said light, and the rest of the room, are momentarily bathed in red. When you get close to it, a head sticks out from between the doors, says something (in Aramaic?) and then disappears, and the sounds stomp.

What the hell was that? Is it Betruger's head sticking out of that... thing, you see at the end of the game?

I spent a long time terrified of confronting this monstrosity, then was sorely disappointed. So what the fuck was it, anyway?
