We usually get the lunchmeat from Stop & Shop's deli. Now, all my life, I've never been a big fan of homemade sandwiches. Once in a while, I'll enjoy a turkey sandwich, but that's it. I just generally didn't like the taste of deli meat.
Now, Hillshire Farm came out with these Deli Selects. We decided to try them, and holy fuck - You will NOT find better-tasting deli meat. We get the ultra-thin cuts, and they are so fucking good.
Hame? I hate it. But the Hillshire Farm stuff is so good, I'll eat that ham. I'll eat that ham like nobody's business. Roast beef, I'm still not a fan of, but theirs tastes fucking incredible too. The turkey? Oh God, the turkey is what God must have for lunch.
Everything is moist and full of flavor. PLUS, each package comes in resealable and reusable Gladware!
For the same price, you could probably get a little more of the grocery store's cuts. But really, if I had to choose between getting an extra sandwich's worth of meat I'll get sick of and probably never finish, or meat that is so good I'll make tasty sandwiches all week long, I'll suffer.
PS - Thomas's wheat pita bread also makes for a great replacement for white bread. Between wheat and white, I can't tell a taste difference when you're having it for a sandwich, and a pita is just fun to eat.
Go buy some the next time you're in the grocery store. If you are unhappy with it, send it to me please.
