Right wing witch hunt against scientists

Most studies of this sort are funded by a special interest group who fund the group in anticipation of a desired result and should be held under close scrutiny to ensure that the method involved adheres to the strictest tennets of the scientific method. I think that inquiries into who funded the group and what procedures were followed are not only legitimate inquiries but, are in fact, the duties to which a government agency should follow up on regardless of partisanship. It's only fair.
