I think dating is pretty culture-based...in the states it seems they call it dating whenever you have a cup of coffee with someone of the opposite sex, and you can date like 5 people at the same time and that's allright.

I think if you're young and don't know exactly what you're doing, don't be too quick with labels and terms etc. It's not important what you call it in the beginning.
