French? Defeated?!?! Bah, the french girl who I know told me that they were strategic withdrawls to help keep alive the brave frenchmen who wouldn't never ever run.
She also thinks that the French resistance in WW2 was only slightly aided by the Allied Forces in defeating the Germans.
I can't argue with her though. She is hot. And I want her.
