I'm depressed as hell (longish post) :(

Dude. Look, your pretty awesome. Don't listen to your fucking family when your own self esteem is going to be up for barter. As much as they love you, they'll run your life down if you allow them to at this age. Take what they have given you, good or bad, at face value. As much as it sucks, the way your family treats you is going to be pretty similar to the way the world treats you. That means that it is all life lessons. The moment you take it out of that context and learn from it is the moment you can overcome it.

The ONLY thing your family has for you, in their own dysfucntional way, is that they do LOVE you and the world won't give you that.

Time to move onward and create your own path.
