What a silly article. The case of displaced Iraqis started while Saddam was in power. When was the last time Iran, Saudi, and Kuwait too immigrants from Iraq? Iraqi's going to Syria isn't a new thing either. Iraqi's love living in Iraq, and they will return the first chance they get. Very few ever picked the US as their first choice to imigrate to even under the best circumstances, so again here is an article written by someone who doesn't know the terrain but wants to desperately put a certain spin on the numbers.

Anyway, They are no longer refugees once they're absolved into another country, according to international law. The majority of Palestinians for example now hold Jordanian citizenship, and are no longer refugees despite how they're labelled by the UNRWA.
