It's your postcount that determines it. You probably need like 1K posts to be a senior.

Yep, we'll be giving everybody their old titles back (or new ones if they like) sometime ni the near future. This "senior member" shit is just the default settings that came with the new software and it is based on how many posts you have. Currently "senior" level is set to 1000 posts.
