I thought, "Ok, this happened all the time on the old I-Mock, it'll probably go away in about a day," but it's been at least a week and I'm still getting the same error. And now I'm noticing that the word "nigga" is in it, and I'm wondering if this is an instance of DELIBERATE SABOTAGE. What is going on here!

My status is "unverified" and it seems like it's optional (being verified means adding a bank account). I'm not interested in receiving money through PayPal, but just sending it. Do I need to be verified just to send money?

No, you don't need to be verified to send money, unless they changed their policies. I don't know how, but I just magically became verified without doing anything besides adding a bank account. They also verified some of my many addresses, which I don't really understand either.

Actually, the only use for being verified (other than being able to deposit/withdraw cash from PayPal quickly via your bank account) is that some sellers on eBay will ONLY sell to people with verified PayPal accounts. So make sure you check the details of the auction listing before you place a bid.
