for me it's the first shining force for genesis, i hadn't ever played a strategy game before then, and i've been hooked ever since, it led into the front mission games, ogre battle, etc., but it stands out for being the first game i was really enthralled with

Oh and Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country when I got a SNES later on.
