Please, whatever you do, don't vote for Romney. I do not like Mitt Romney. I was made unhappy while watching this clip of Romney explaining to a wheelchair-bound lifelong muscular dystrophy sufferer that he would indeed arrest him for his "crime".

Bleh, that's a political trap.

What was Romney supposed to say, "well you seem nice enough, for you I would let the law slide!"?

Regardless of my own opinion that marijuana should be decriminalized - I watched the video and realized there were thousands of ways that he could have handled that situation, and he chose the most fearful way, you can see the fear in his eyes. An answer that would not appear callous would be "I am against medical marijuana, but you've given me a lot to think about and I think you for your brave stand - civil disobedience isn't easy for anyone, especially someone who faces so many daily challenges as yourself". As a politician, he really should have been able to think of that more quickly than I did.

I'm sure giving a robot answer to a kid in a wheelchair would've come across really well.

Romney is already accused of being a Ken Doll, so I don't think he wants to embrace the inner Ken in those situations.

Probaly better than walking away from the kid in a wheelchair who is still talking.

Again...what could he have possibly said to that kid that would've satisfied him? Believe me, he gave that kid a LOT more attention than 99% of America would get from that guy. Kids dying from cancer in a hospital somewhere won't get face time like that from a presidential candidate.

And anyone who says he "he could've renounced his position on pot" is clueless. He isn't going to do that because he gets cornered by one person. That isn'tthe smartest way to create policy, btw.

Gee, this one kid sure feels shitty. Let's pass a law or something.
