Hey Kev;

Thanks. I printed this out and read it over lunch. I love Pynchon.

It's a great essay and opens an interpretation of the book I had honestly never even concidered. Truthfully, I'd never even concidered the appendix as commenting in any speciffic way on the message of the book, taking it like the 'appendixs' at the end of 'Lord of the Rings', ie, more info for people who couldn't get enough in the book.

That was a very stupid and dismissive way to read it. Now I'll need to go back nd read it again, which is good as 1984 and Orwell in general have, not surprisingly, been on my mind lately.
