So the new Metallica album has been out for a while now, what are your thoughts?

Personally I like it. I didn't really expect much after hearing various new songs from live performances but it's a surprisingly well put together album. It's still struggling to live up to earlier material but in comparison to St Anger it's defiantly a return to form.

The main problem I have with all the new Metallica stuff is that they're beginning to sound like a Metallica tribute band that decided to start writing new songs in the style of Metallica.

Yeah Trujillo is the best thing they have going for them though.
