Believe me I'm not trying to be sexist when I say this but I think that men and women should have at least some clubs, organizations, sports leagues, ect that remain seperate. Why does EVERYTHING have to include EVERYONE? I say this without fear of being politically incorrect. It's not about THAT. It's about each sex being able to have an area of the world that is theirs without the fear of being encroched upon. I think that it's healthy to have separation once in a while. As far as the Sorremstam issue goes, I must say I'm a little confused. She says she wants to do this to challenge herself. As far as golf goes, isn't the biggest challenge within yourself. If you miss par on a hole, it's not because another player ran up and blocked your stroke or tackled you. I'd agree, of course, that playing against others (especially those that are especially skilled) would probably raise your game due to the "spirit of competition" but couldn't you find this same "spirit" playing against other women. Is she saying, then, that other women suck or aren't on par with her skills? Isn't that kind of a slap in the face to the LPGA? Or is she trying to bring respect to the LPGA by showing that their skills are comparable to the men. I'm confused my her motivation.
