Old Mar 8th, 2010, 10:53 AM        X10 via Twitter?
I have a couple of those Radio Shack X10 modules laying around (along with the control module thing that hooks to your PC), and I have a spare netbook running Ubuntu Netbook Remix, which is always online. I know there's ways of controlling the module through SMS, but my cell plan charges me for those so I'd like to see if there's some software out there that would let me use Twitter (I could bypass the SMS fee by Twittering from my DS).

I have a slipstream of XP handy, so if the software is only for Windows that's no biggie, it's just that I've tried Google and nothing comes up so I figured I'd ask you because I'm not the absolute greatest when it comes to computers.

If there's no way to do it, it's not the end of the world because this is just for fun, I'm not lazy enough to the point where I won't walk across the room and flick a switch, I just think this would be cool (and handy to have if I leave something on in the house when I leave for work).

I'd do it myself, but I'm no programmer.

Thanks for reading this long pointless pile of shit.
