I can see your point, but since your brother is on the football team I think that's more important. Whether or not your father realizes that both music and sports build character, it sounds like he at least has a sound idea of principle. It's better to believe in something, than nothing. Many fathers might not have given a shit either way. If I were you I'd be grateful that's not the case with yours.

I don't mean to sound like a know-it-all, all I'm saying is I see both as valid points, though I think loyalty to your Dad and your brother come first.
