This may well be so, but running a lesser republican democrat like Lieberman solely on the basis that he's more 'electable' doesn't do the party any good either.

I think this whole type of analysis is DLC apologia, and it's fighting an old war. There's been a lot of movement and migration in the country and I think people who are sure they know how states will vote are talking out their hat.

I think Voters like a candidate with a spine who gives the appearance3 at least of believing some of the things they say.
